labotanica is on an ongoing quest to:

- create a space for creative exchange

- frame the role of imagination

- to intersect creative and educational models

- to encourage acts of reciprocity

- to serve as a laboratory in which people of all backgrounds can connect      and explore open-ended art processes. 

Created in 2006, simply as a blog, labotanica has grown to include a burgeoning resource room, public projects, and a community-driven grants program. We’ve come this far, but with very few resources it hasn’t been easy. We are in dire need of seed money to launch the organization’s first year of ongoing programs. Please consider giving a small contribution of $20 or what you can. For a fledgling but dedicated organization, seed money is key to allow us to move to the next stage.
